With my husband Ewen Campbell, I have worked at Eustace & Partners since 1988. During that time we had raised two children and developed a successful business that we remain very proud of.
We had received numerous unsolicited private approaches to buy the dental practice. However, we decided at an early stage that we wanted to appoint a dental broker who we truly believed we could trust, who understood us, who understand the dynamics of our business, who could take the practice to the entire market and negotiate through to completion on our behalf.
After completing our own due diligence, we appointed Lily Head Dental Practice Sales simply because Lily and James Head came closest to meeting our criteria.
We had an outstanding level of interest when the practice went to market. This is obviously a good problem to have and meant that Lily and James had the job of qualifying the buyers and presenting the various options and proposals.
Lily did this concisely which made it simpler for us to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each offer. We had a mix of private and corporate interest. The thing that stood out to me immediately was a high street brand had offered us 35% more than they had done previously, now the sale was being managed by Lily Head Dental Practice Sales. Even so, we felt their revised offer was based on what they felt they might have to pay, and not on what they wanted to pay. We always wanted to work with a willing buyer.
To summarise, Ewen and I sold to Portman Dental Care who were represented by Gary Chapman. We and our team are very pleased with the new arrangements and are looking forward to working together with Portman.
At completion we were in no doubt that Lily Head Dental Practice Sales was the business we always expected it to be and we have no hesitation in recommending them to any colleagues who are considering selling or buying a dental practice.
